Data Security Policy
|
|
|
| Data Ownership |
All customer and prospect information received by DataBack Systems in the course of providing autoresponder, mailing list, form processing or any other service remains solely the property of the service
owner (defined as the entity paying our invoices). DataBack Systems will not sell, give away, or utilize such information in any way except as instructed by the account owner. E-mail addresses are logged in various ways depending on the service, and such usage logs are made available to the account owner or their designate
only.
|
| Data Backup |
DataBack maintains server backups for the sole purpose of recovery
from catastrophic failure. Customers are strongly encouraged to retain
up-to-date copies of their important information, subscriber lists,
web pages, etc. DataBack does not guarantee that files or other data deleted by
the customer can be recovered.
|
| System and Network Security |
|
DataBack is concerned with the privacy of online communications and web sites. In general, the
internet is neither more nor less secure than other means of communication, including mail,
fax, and voice telephone service, all of which can be intercepted and otherwise compromised. As a matter of prudence, however,
DataBack urges its customers to assume that all of their online communications are insecure.
DataBack cannot take responsibility for the security of information transmitted over
our facilities.

|
| Backups |
| Like any
legitimate service provider, DataBack Systems takes the security of
your stored data seriously. However, prudence dictates that you
should not trust your only copy of irreplaceable data with any
hosting company. Make sure you always have recent backups stored
locally.
